A Private Sunset Boat Proposal on the Waters of the Charleston Harbor

I was truly flattered to photograph Max's romantic proposal to Ryan. He told me Ryan had long admired my work on instagram and surprised her with a sunset charter cruise around Charleston's harbor with me on board to document the experience. The proposal was kept an open secret. We remained at the back of the boat, drinking champagne spotting dolphins and watching the sun dip in the sky before eventually making our way up to the front deck of the boat. Waiting there was a beautiful floral arrangement, a ring, and some truly joyful tears. It was the kind of romantic gesture you see in movies.
