Documentary Film Photography Session with a Family and Fellow Film Lover in Downtown Charleston

Valerie is a fellow film photographer and reached out via Instagram when they finalized plans for a little vacation to Charleston, SC. She makes it a habit of having her little family documented in each city they go to, and I just absolutely adore that. Sometimes there doesn't need to be any grand reason for having professional photographs taken. Simply wanting the moment, or who you were as people in that time, is reason enough. This downtown Charleston session was shot on a mix of 35mm and medium format film, photographed documentary style with limited direction and posing.
