In Home Film Photography Family Session in Austin, Texas

Nikki and Hunter are friends of a former maternity client of mine. When they found out that I was going to be in Austin, Tx to photograph an engagement session, they reached out about having me stop by and photograph their family, and their newest little addition, in the place they call home. I adore these types of sessions. It feels so meaningful to document families, as they are, in their environment. It feels real and tangible - and why I think film is such a perfect medium for documenting things like this. There is a poetic permanence to film just like the permanence of the bond between family members and the bonds we all have with our day to day lives.
