Statuesque Bridal Portraiture in a Charleston SC Studio

I can't say enough wonderful things about this bridal session. I worked with a local Charleston model and dress shop, in the early days of my pursuits in studio, and the result was something truly dynamic, creative, and surreal. Helen is a trained dancer and so perfectly blended strength, positioning and grace. Her movements were both still and fluid. The entire session was photographed on Kodak film, with a few different set looks. Shooting on film encourages me to take risks that I might not otherwise take, unable to immediately verify the results of my efforts. The results were a set of studio bridal portraits that are both beautiful, yet haunting, still yet full of movement, and as timeless as the medium they were shot on. Art never goes out of style, after all.
