Sarika & Chand

Traverse City

Michigan

July 4, 2025

This might have been my favorite wedding, ever, to document. Sarika and Chand's Indian wedding weekend celebration kicked off my Northern Michigan Summer with all sort of love and even more to photograph. An Indian wedding is truly a documentary style photographer's dream. You add in all of the vibrant colors and patterns and a documentary, film wedding photographer is truly in heaven. There was never a down moment, never a moment where something meaningful, something to be remembered, wasn't occurring. These are events that truly engage you - you leave tired, but all too rewarded. The weekend's festivities featured a Sangeet to kick off the celebration at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, a Haldi ceremony at The Traverse City Botanic Gardens, and wrapping up with a final day featuring a traditional Indian wedding ceremony, formal cocktail hour in the cherry orchards and tented reception overlooking Lake Michigan at Bay View at Gallagher Farms.
